About these symbols
The shrug is made of a macron (¯), a backslash, an underscore, parentheses and the Japanese katakana ツ (tsu), used as a face. In apps that use Markdown, like Discord or Reddit, the backslash disappears: use the version with a double backslash (¯\\_(ツ)_/¯) there.
