What is cursive text?
Cursive text, also called script or handwriting text, uses the Mathematical Script letters of Unicode. They look like elegant handwriting, but they are ordinary characters, so they survive copy and paste into any app.
How to use the cursive text generator
- Type or paste your text in the box.
- Your text appears instantly in each style.
- Click the styled text or the Copy button.
- Paste it into Instagram, TikTok, Discord, X, YouTube or any app.
Where to use it
- Instagram and TikTok display names that look signed by hand
- Wedding, baby shower and event captions
- Quotes and short affirmations in a bio
- Names in a YouTube channel banner description
Tips for a clean result
- Keep cursive for 2 to 5 words. A whole paragraph in script is hard to read on a phone.
- Bold cursive is easier to read on small screens and dark mode.
- A few capitals (B, E, F, H…) come from an older Unicode block, so they look slightly different from the other letters. That is normal.
Why it works everywhere
Apps cannot change the font of your bio or caption, but they all display Unicode, the universal list of characters used by every phone and computer. This tool swaps each normal letter for a styled Unicode character. The result is text, not an image, so it can be copied, pasted and edited like any other words.
